Car history: |
10/03/2013 Your viewing an all original 1968 Corvette L71 t-top. This car has been sitting since 1978.
I will start with the exterior. It is Safari Yellow it does appear to have one repaint. 1969 side pipes were installed and there is a little lifting of chrome on one side. Paint has minor scratches and oxidation. This car was garage kept.
Interior: Factory black leather, original carpet, small crack in console where elbow rests. '69 glove box dash installed. AM/FM stereo that works. Factory rear window defrost. There seat belts in the back I assume that there shoulder belts. (very rare) telescopic wheel, speed warning, there is a couple small wear holes in the seats the size of a pen. Interior is not 100 percent but it's all original!
Engine compartment: Numbers matching engine block number 3935493 casting. Everything under the hood seems correct. Carbs have been replaced but oem replacements. Missing smog! Missing transistor distributor but sending box is still by the headlights and loom is still in tact. Hose clamps have been replaced. Some of the heater lines and belts have been replaced. Radiator is new but the shroud is missing. Engine runs and it runs and idles great. Started right up!!!
Undercarriage: Looks to be all 100 percent original!!! F41 shocks, delco four piston brakes, transmission with vin# that matches. And rear end matches. I would really suggest that if your serious you come out or have someone come out and look over the car. This car has been sitting but does run and move under its own power. I don't know what or how far someone wants to take this restoration. This car I believe will qualify for survivor.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On Aug-23-13 at 17:55:15 PDT, seller added the following information:
The block number is 3935439 with a date of C288 and the heads are the 3919840 heads dated D1 and D2 of 68. All the carbs are dated '71 and there over the counter replacements. |
